Job Summary

This position involves supporting the clinical logic content development, validation and documentation of Clinical and Economic Research applications. The first primary responsibility will be the maintenance and integrity validation of EAPG, IOCE, CRGs and URxG mod files and component specifications. This person will be expected to work directly with component team for the following:

* Updating of component specifications and/or supporting documents
* Perform modifications to component specification tables and ROT tables and review summary changes with lead clinical analyst
* Collecting and formatting component API
* Assemble supporting documentation for the integration of product concepts/input/outputs into the components and existing products
* Setting up environment and posting of component related documents
* Create supporting data files as required
* Assist in developing clinical and technical heuristics to support testing and validation of clinical content and assist in resolving discrepancies

The second major responsibility of this person will be to transition into the role of the URxG clinical analysis lead within a year of starting. Candidate will be expected to participate in the development of clinical models and requirement analysis.

* Arrange, schedule and run meetings to update specifications (Logic xls, Code/Rank xls and active ingredient xls) based schedule.
* Review edit reports and make any modifications to logic spreadsheets and review with clinical team for verification.
* Perform general QA testing during test period and provide test cases prior to QA testing phase.
* Provide release notice after component passes QA.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* Associate's degree
* AHIMA credential (RHIA, RHIT, CPC or CCS)
* 5+ combined years of experience working with outpatient coding and/or casemix systems in a healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Strong knowledge of ICD-9-CM and ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure coding, CPT, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
* Strong analytical thinking, detail oriented with good written and verbal communication skills required.
* A demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility for assignments is a must.
* Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines, and multiple projects. Expertise in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point.
* Strong knowledge of 3M HIS patient classification products, including EAPG, CRGs, and OCE. Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS a plus
