The Medical Assistant I provides general Medical Assisant assistance to Internal Medicine physicians in an outpatient setting. S/He demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served. Additionally, the Medical Assistant I demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:

Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must possess Medical Assistant skills and have successfully completed MA course. Must be CPR certified. Minimum of 1 year experience as Medical Assistant preferred. Telephone, fax machine, copier, typewriter, personal computer and peripherals, EKG machine and other medical equipment as required by the practice.
