Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of buildings to the customers' satisfaction including removes and collects trash; cleans and maintains rest rooms and canteens; dust mops, sweeps and vacuums; wet mops; dusts and wipes down surfaces; practices good housekeeping and safety standards; sets up and moves furniture; maintains cleaning equipment; and responds to custodial requests. Other duties as assigned. All requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.

* Ability to read and follow instructions.

* Ability to effectively communicate.

* Ability to drive a vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license.

* Knowledge of general cleaning procedures.

* Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets on chemicals used in performing tasks.

This position will be exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Visual requirements are the minimum standard based on the criteria of accuracy and neatness of work for custodians.

This position is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions and may also be subject to extreme temperatures for periods of more than one hour. This position is subject to noise: At this time employees may be required to participate in the Hearing Conservation Program which will involve regular testing and the wearing of hearing protection equipment where necessary.
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.


Required Experience
Typically requires minimum experience with a high school diploma or GED and the ability to successfully perform the job duties.
