Primary responsibility will be to perform data reduction for flights of Unmanned Air Vehicles. Responsibilities include: download and analyze UAV flight data under supervision of the engineering staff, conduct and document engineering investigations on site and in plant. When not investigating, will be analyzing and cataloging flight test data or performing flight safety improvement tasks. Must be able to generate coherent technical reports with attention to detail. Will be providing field support to operational units.

Must be willing to travel, both domestically and internationally with relatively short notice. Must be able to work long hours and weekends. A sample of writing abilities is required. Strong communication skills (verbal & written) are a must. Strong PC skills including MS Word and Excel. Must be able to convert binary and hex numbers to decimal. Must be able to import/export various data formats (i.e. raw ASCII to Excel). Must have report writing skills and be able to effectively convey information to higher engineering disciplines. Must be able to reduce data to plots that precisely communicate results. Ability to work with minimal supervision within a team environment. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a government security clearance.


Required Experience
Associates Degree in technical discipline preferred. (Electronics, Aviation, or Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience to successfully perform the job duties. Military or UAV Background preferred. Experience in Aviation Safety is desired. Minimum 10 years technical experience desired. Systems troubleshooting background a plus. Avionics experience is desired. Matlab experience is also desired.
