Jobing Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with eyewear needs


• Dispense contact lenses and dispense/repair glasses


• Fit eyewear and help with selections


• Recommend proper coatings and lenses


• Measure pupils for bifocals


• Assist with phone coverage and appointment setting


• Assist with insurance forms

Positions in this function support the vision operations (retail vision stores, production lab) of the business. Only employees who are represented by a Union should be in this function.

Skills / Requirements

Requirements:

• 1+ year experience working in the optical field


• 1+ year customer service/retail experience


• High School Diploma or GED is required


• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Assets:

• ABO certification


• Experience working with insurance forms


• Previous experience assisting with eyewear/lens selection and fitting
