Electrician Program Chair

The Electrician Program Chair is responsible providing the leadership and supervision of our accredited program. Reporting directly to the Director of Education, you will oversee the daily management of instructors, class scheduling, and an externship coordinator for the Electrician program we offer our students.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain retention of students in the program at required levels or less through quality programs.
- Manage faculty for quality instruction, oversee curriculum, and maintain accreditation standards.
- Oversee faculty development through on-going professional development.
- Oversee the selection of externship sites, and the supervision and evaluation of student externs.
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise all instructors.
- Build and maintain the respect of faculty, staff and students.
- Maintain standards of performance and behavior for faculty and students.

Skills / Requirements
Skills and experience you need:
Bachelor's Degree
Master Electrician or a Journeyman with at least 3 years experience as an electrician
Teaching experience preferred. Supervisory or managerial experience a BIG PLUS
Microsoft office
Must be proficient with the use of personal computers to enter grades and attendance and to perform other management functions electronically
Must be able to develop and maintain excellent relationships with a diverse staff and student population
Local travel to facilities may be required.
