Job: Entry-Level Computer Programming

Do you want a way into junior and mid-level professional IT positions, such as computer programming, but lack or have been told that you lack experience? Catalyst IT Services is a way to bypass the Catch-22 of needing experience to get a job and a job to get experience. Under our entry-level computer programming program, we provide IT training (in areas such as VB.NET or C# programming languages) for free followed by a job.

Here's how we work: We provide free pre-employment training in skills valuable to today's technology job market, such as VB.NET or C#. Training is Monday-Friday during the business day and is no more than 20 weeks long. The first 14 weeks is unpaid but again it is free. Following the successful completion of those 14 weeks, trainees receive a stipend of $45 a day during the remainder of the training. Upon successful completion of the training, you are hired. In exchange for the training, in lieu of your paying for the training you have received we ask that you work for Catalyst for at least two years. Wages for the first 2 years are a minimum of $12.50 an hour and we do offer health benefits.

We are highly selective, since we make a substantial up-front investment in participants by training them for free. We only accept individuals who meet our minimum requirements and who we have determined to have a high degree of confidence and will do well in a fast paced environment.

To ensure that we recruit and train highly successful individuals, Catalyst requires that all applicants meet the following requirements. All applicants must: be interested in working in web application development and related IT fields; have proficiency with using the Internet and PC's in a Windows networked environment; be at least 18 years old; be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. for thirty continuous months from the first day of training; and have at least a 10th grade math and reading level. Entrance into the program requires successful completion of our screening process, which includes math and reading tests.
