- 5-6 years Duties will include: developing and maintaining Quality Assurance (QA) for laboratory in accordance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements including CLIA, CAP, as well as GLP guidelines; working closely with the Lab Manager and Technical Directors to ensure the Quality Plan is followed and the established QA monitors are implemented, reviewed and adjusted as needed; serving as a resource for the Lab Manager, Supervisors, Systems Coordinator and technical staff in the areas such as training, competency testing, and continuing education; in addition, serving as the study coordinator for all research and clinical studies; and other duties as assigned. Qualified applicants will possess: Bachelor`s degree in Medical Technology or related field from an accredited university; registered as a Medical Technologists by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or by another registry acceptable to the Laboratories Administration of the State of Maryland is preferred; a minimum of five years progressively responsible experience as a Medical Technologist or similar field of interest.
