Coordinates and performs various activities and functions associated with the development and implementation of Mechanical Engineering processes. Leads a team of mechanical engineers in the development process. Includes interfacing with other functional groups such as Configuration Management, Drafting, Component Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Design Support, etc. Serve as the company-wide expert for the Mechanical Engineering discipline and is expected to solve complex mechanical technical problems. Manage the mechanical engineering budget and Capital Appropriation Requests. Supports MCAD tools - Unigraphics NX, ANSYS, etc. and the evaluation and testing of new software releases/upgrades. Supervises engineers and MCAD systems analysts.

Strong computer skills (e.g., word processing, DOS batch or Windows scripting, creation of user libraries, etc…). Knowledge of Unigraphics NX and the administration of NX configuration files. Basic knowledge of batch files as wrapper scripts for installing and running MCAD software. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must possess good leadership skills and positive attitude. Must possess effective organizational skills applicable to the management of engineering documentation. Ability to demonstrate innovative and creative design solutions to assigned tasks. Familiarity with networks is a plus. Unix shell scripting is a plus.


Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.Experience working in a processed based organization including both ISO9001 and CMMI process models. Must have thorough knowledge of Unigraphics NX. Knowledge of Oracle ERP (ARMS) system a plus. Knowledge of Matrix One system a plus.
