Job: Psych Rehab Counselor

Full-time (preferred) or part-time Day Program Rehabilitation Counselor positions available in our Aberdeen Maryland program working with adults with severe mental illness.

Main job duties include treatment plan development, skills instruction, service coordination, basic case management. Mental health rehabilitation counselors are expected to:

* Teach educational & recreational classes.

* Maintain treatment plans, set and execute treatment goals, & complete paperwork.

* Perform basic case management and short goal-oriented counseling.

* Coordinate with therapists, psychiatrists, and residential facility staff.

* Run field trips to the mall, gym, social and educational events.

Requires a BA/BS in related field (Psychology, Sociology, Psychiatric Rehabilitation) or an AA degree in Mental Health w/ 2 years experience. First year graduate students also welcome. Experience in adult mental health, case management, and/or group skills instruction preferred. Applicants with drug and alcohol counseling or instructional experience preferred.
