Department: Critical Care
Schedule: Regular Full-time Shift: Hours: (3) 3p-11:30p weekly & 9a-9p every other weekend - High school diploma or equivalent is required - Customer service skills are required - Experience is required The Patient Service Representative in collaboration with unit leadership coordinates the daily operations of the nursing station, maintaining continuous awareness of unit operations and potential issues; maintains the efficient flow of patients, visitors, other staff, and information in the patient care area; provides direct clerical and administrative support to the patient care department; and collaborates as needed with other departments to maintain smooth operation of the unit. He/She proactively demonstrate appropriate customer service and hospitality practices to enhance the perception of all customers of the department as a healing and compassionate unit. EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:
Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must possess certificate of completion of medical terminology course preferred or proven expertise in medical terminology. Must possess at least one (1) year of clerical experience in healthcare. Must possess one (1) year of experience and/or proven expertise in patient reception or customer service. Must be able to type accurately a minimum of 40wpm, with 55wpm preferred. Must be computer literate or able to learn selected software applications.
