About the Business Line Water We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
Job Description The Laurel, MD office of AECOM is seeking candidates for the position of Water Resources Engineer I. AECOM is one of the nation's leading water resources firms with opportunities to work with a wide variety of clients on water resources planning, engineering, and design projects. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, stormwater quality planning and design, TMDL and NPDES compliance planning, Environmental Site Design / Low Impact Development, and watershed / stream restoration. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing specific tasks and limited portions of a broader assignments and will receive close supervision and guidance from experienced engineers in the office. Qualifications should include: 1) 0-2 years of relevant water resources experience 2) Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering or equivalent; Master's preferred 3) Engineer-in-Training registration 4) Strong written and verbal communication skills 5) Demonstrated proficiency in GIS and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
