Perform all of the tasks necessary to execute value engineering (VE) studies including assembling teams, preparing for VE workshops, conducting value engineering studies using the Value Methodology, and preparing reports documenting the events and results of the workshop. Included is establishing a relationship with the client's designated representative, understanding the client's needs and leading the workshop to satisfy those needs.

Working with the VE Practice Leader to market VE services and attract new clients. Participating in the preparation of statements of qualification and proposals to secure additional work assignments.

A successful candidate would have previous experience performing VE studies on several of the following industries: highway, mass transit, water and wastewater, educational facilities (all levels), health care facilities, military facilities, justice facilities, civil works and/or buildings projects, along with experience conducting risk analyses.

Previous experience supporting divisional marketing and proposal preparations, scheduling projects, estimating project costs or analyzing claims preferred.

Basic and Required Qualifications:
* Minimum years of experience: Minimum 15 years experience in the engineering/construction industry with 5 of those years performing VE Studies.
* Education required: BS in Engineering, Construction or a related field
* Registrations/Certifications required: Professional Engineer and CVS (minimum of 5 years working as a CVS)
* Skills required: Report Writing and Oral Presentation

Additional and Preferred Qualifications:
* Years experience preferred: 20 years experience in the engineering/construction industry with 8 of those years performing VE Studies.
* Skills preferred: Performing VE studies on highway, mass transit, water and wastewater, military, civil works and/or buildings projects. Conducting risk analyses.

* This position does require travel. Travel amount is up to 50%.
* A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
* This position does not manage others.
