Jobing Description

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist customers with eyewear needs

Dispense contact lenses and dispense/repair glasses

Fit eyewear and help with selections

Recommend proper coatings and lenses

Measure pupils for bifocals

Assist with phone coverage and appointment setting

Assist with insurance forms

Positions in this function support the vision operations (retail vision stores, production lab) of the business. Only employees who are represented by a Union should be in this function.

Skills / Requirements

Requirements:

• 1+ year experience working in the optical field


• 1+ year customer service/retail experience


• High School Diploma or GED is required

Assets:

• ABO certification


• Experience working with insurance forms


• Previous experience assisting with eyewear/lens selection and fitting
