As a member of the department’s senior management team, the Senior Administrator (SA) will collaborate with the chair of the department and participate in operational decision-making and planning processes necessary for the attainment of the department’s mission. The SA will maintain an awareness of changes in academic healthcare and healthcare in general that might have an impact on the success of the department.
The SA is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the entire department and all related resources associated with the department’s business and operational activities. In this capacity, the SA is accountable for integrating the strategic plan of the department with the operations. Thus provides management oversight for the development of high quality, cost effective and integrated services. The management portfolio held by this leader is notably diverse, with corresponding broad organizational implications and complexity, characterized by substantial scope of responsibility. Will provide leadership to department for contract management and programs, business development, staff management, fiscal management, quality and compliance, faculty relationships, outreach strategies, work culture enhancement and internal communication and consensus-building.
Qualified applicants will possess: MBA, MHA, or related Master’s degree; 10+ years related practice management and financial operations experience, primary care practice/multi-specialty care experience preferred; experience developing multi-site primary care networks preferred; proven experience building organizational relationships to meet departmental goals and objectives; previous financial management experience with a proven track record of fiscal responsibility; previous supervisory experience with multiple direct reports.
